Both young athletes began showing signs of severe exhaustion, which impaired their ability to swim. The municipal rescuers reacted swiftly and brought the athletes to safety.
The competition took place on August 16 in La Izvor Park, Chisinau. The young athletes competed across three disciplines: a 400-meter swim, a 10.22 km cycle, and a 2.42 km run. The course tested the participants’ speed, physical endurance, and focus as they pushed for top results. More than 400 juniors from 35 countries took part in the event.
