Moldovan wrestler Maxim Iuhnevici continues his strong international run, securing a bronze medal at the Beach Sambo World Championship in Caraguatatuba, Brazil.
Hailing from Bălți, Iuhnevici stood out as the sole representative of the Republic of Moldova in a tournament featuring nearly 75 athletes across 24 countries. Competing in the -88 kg weight category, he earned his spot on the podium after defeating Esteban Brenes in the bronze medal bout.
This achievement highlights a remarkable season for Iuhnevici, coming on the heels of another major success: taking home bronze at the European Senior Sambo Championship earlier this year.
