Promising Debut: Young Moldovan Judoka Xenia Vainer and Alexandra Chiron Secure TOP 10 Finishes at European Junior Championship

The European Junior Judo Championships in Podgorica, Montenegro, highlighted the bright future of Moldovan judo as cadet-age athletes Xenia Vainer and Alexandra Chiron made a remarkable transition to the junior ranks. Facing older and more experienced opposition, both athletes proved their readiness for the international stage.

Guided by their coaching team—Igor Neagu, Oleg Prituleac, and Daniela Tcaci—the young judoka achieved impressive TOP 10 finishes in their championship debuts:

  • Xenia Vainer fought through a challenging draw to secure 7th place.
