The sons of former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison have put their past personal differences aside as 36-year-old Kenzie Morrison faces a fight with stomach cancer.
Following news of Kenzie’s diagnosis and the creation of a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses, his older brother, Trey Lippe Morrison, issued a heartfelt public plea asking for prayers and support.
Putting Differences Aside Despite years of personal friction between the two boxing brothers, Trey made it clear that family comes first during this critical period.
“No two other people have had their differences like my brother and myself. F our differences!” Trey stated. “My brother Kenzie Morrison is in the fight of his life. I want him here! I love him.”*
Trey Reveals Personal Health Battle In encouraging supporters to hold onto faith for Kenzie’s recovery, Trey revealed a deeply personal detail about his own past health struggles that he had never previously made public.
“I’ve never shared this, but I’ve died twice, I’m still here,” Trey shared. “It didn’t matter how tough I was, it was all HIM.”
Kenzie, who sought medical attention after experiencing severe stomach and back pain, emphasized the urgency of securing specialized treatment: “It’s not too late, but we don’t got a lot of time.”
Both brothers followed in the footsteps of their famous father, displaying heavy punching power in the ring. However, boxing has now taken a backseat as the Morrison family unites for Kenzie’s health battle.
