UFC welterweight contender Sean Brady expressed doubts regarding Shavkat Rakhmonov’s return to the octagon during an interview with Daniel Cormier. Rakhmonov has been sidelined since December 2024 following his decision victory over Ian Machado Garry, a fight in which he re-injured his knee and subsequently required surgery.
Brady suggested that recurring knee issues could prevent the unbeaten Kazakh fighter from enduring a full fight camp. Despite Brady’s skepticism, Rakhmonov’s coach recently posted footage showing the fighter back in training. Meanwhile, Brady is set to headline UFC Vegas 124 against Gabriel Bonfim on November 7.
