“I Feel Like You’re Being a Coward”: Tyson Fury Blasts Anthony Joshua as Superfight Contract Talks Stall Over Location

Contract negotiations for the heavyweight blockbuster between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have hit another roadblock, prompting ‘The Gypsy King’ to unleash a scathing social media tirade against his rival.

The core issue remains the venue. Joshua’s original agreement stipulated a UK location, but event promoters Sela and broadcaster Netflix are pushing to stage the bout in the United States to maximize global viewership. Eddie Hearn requested an updated contract reflecting the US venue, but Fury’s patience has run out.

“Joshua, where are you? Still no deal done. It’s getting quite tiring,” Fury raged. “I’ve been down to fight in every location… I feel like you’re being a coward. I feel like you don’t want the fight and you’re just conning everybody. We’re both 37, 38 years old—let’s fight. You’ve been knocked out a few times. So what. I’m going to chin you, 100 per cent, but it’s nothing that hasn’t been done before!”

Hours later, Fury doubled down by posting another video alongside boxing icon Mike Tyson, with both fighters urging Joshua to sign on the dotted line.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Hearn reiterated that Joshua had indeed signed the previous contract and is merely awaiting the updated agreement specifying the new location, noting that the next 48 hours will be critical.
