Hayden Panettiere Dies at 36 Three days later, on August 16, actress Hayden Panettiere passed away at the age of 36. Known to boxing fans through her long-term relationship and engagement to former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, Panettiere was the mother to their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya. Authorities responded to a call regarding an unresponsive female, and preliminary investigations indicated no signs of foul play.
Zolani Tete Murdered at 38 On August 21, former two-weight world champion Zolani Tete was shot and killed outside his home in Mdantsane, South Africa. Armed attackers in balaclavas ambushed Tete as he was waiting for his gate to open, firing multiple shots into his vehicle. The 38-year-old died at the scene. Cruelly, the attack took place just weeks after Tete completed a four-year suspension and returned to active training for his ring comeback.
