Conor McGregor has long been celebrated for his unparalleled bravado on the mic, but Tyson Fury believes the “Notorious” one took a page right out of his book. “The Gypsy King” claims that McGregor’s famous trash-talking ability is actually a replica of the promotional groundwork Fury laid down years ago.
Speaking to ALF Global, Fury took credit for McGregor’s ability to move audiences with his verbal warfare:
“I taught him. He copied me. He copied my style,” Fury said. “I don’t do it to get in their heads. Boxing is show business. Boxing is Hollywood. The fans have to be entertained, so when they tune in… they’re going to see a show. It’s like a circus.”
